SCPD Youth Fishing Club
Youth 15 and under are eligible to become members of the Spartanburg County Parks Department's Youth Fishing Club at no cost. Club benefits include an ID card, complimentary use of SCPD fishing poles, exclusive fishing privileges at Cleveland Park, a fishing starter kit, updates on kid-friendly fishing events, and much more. This new program is an excellent option for class field trips and other large groups. Join the club by reading the regulations, filling out the registration form, watching the educational videos, and completing the test. Turn the registration form and questions into the Cleveland Park Office to receive your membership card and fishing starter kit.

Our annual Take a Kid Fishing Day is a day full of fishing fun! Take the time to teach your children the fundamentals of fishing at Cleveland Park Lake. This is one day the fish will surely bite! Catch fish, win prizes...and it's FREE!
SP's annual Take a Kid Fishing Day at Cleveland Park offers the ideal opportunity to introduce young people to the recreation of fishing. Take a Kid Fishing Day provides kids and families with a safe and accessible venue where they can experience the sport while enjoying the local community and strengthening family bonds. Children twelve and under can enjoy family fun and prize giveaways as they fish for bream, bass, and catfish in Spartanburg's Cleveland Park lake. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and provide their own fishing pole and tackle, bait is available on-site. SP's Take a Kid Fishing Day is a free event. It is unlawful to fish in Cleveland Park at any other time.
