Old Indian Mountain

Saturday, February 18 – Camp Old Indian

9AM-1PM

Venture to the Dark Corner for this wonderful winter hike. We will be hiking to the top of Old Indian Mountain from Camp Old Indian and then meandering back down and around some of the camp’s fine trails. Bring a bag lunch for a picnic with a view atop the mountain!

Ages: all welcome

Cost: FREE!

Distance: 5-6 miles on moderate terrain

                 

Cottonwood Trail

Wednesday, February 29 – Woodburn Road trailhead

9:30-11:30AM

Ramble with us on one of Spartanburg’s backyard gems. This is a great hike for novice and experienced hikers alike.

Ages: all welcome

Cost: FREE!

Distance: 3-4 miles on easy terrain            

Croft State Park

Tuesday, March 13 – Palmetto Trail near Ranger Station, Croft State Park

9:30-1PM

We will be meeting at the Ranger Station and embarking for a hike on the Nature Trail, Horace Craig Trail, and Fairforest Creek Trail.

Ages: all welcome

Cost: FREE! ($2/person SC State Park day fee or Annual Pass is required.)

Distance: 5-6 miles on easy to moderate terrain. Shorter distance option is also available.

USC Upstate Passage of the Palmetto Trail

Monday, March 26 – Rampy Center trailhead, USC-Upstate Campus       

9:30-11:30AM

Maximize your Monday and join us for a hike on USC Upstate’s nearby trails!

Cost: FREE!

Distance: 3+ miles on easy terrain             

Wildflower Hike

Tuesday, May 1 – North Carolina Arboretum

Time TBA

Come with us on our spring pilgrimage to enjoy beautiful spring flora including Flowering Dogwood, Lily of the Valley, and Yellow Lady Slippers. If we are really lucky, we will see Flame Azalea in bloom!

Ages: all welcome

Cost: FREE! Entrance to the NC Arboretum is free on the first Tuesday of each month.

Distance: 1-3+ miles
