Weekend Tournaments
In the months of March through October, SP hosts a variety of independently run youth baseball, youth softball, and adult softball tournaments. These tournaments are held at 295 Sports Complex, North Spartanburg Park, and Southside Park. The tournaments create a very positive impact on the economy of Spartanburg County by attracting hundreds of tourists each weekend.

H. Gene Lee Memorial Scholarship Tournament
Spartanburg Parks sponsors a high school softball tournament held at the end of each February. This year the tournament will be held at North Spartanburg Athletic Complex on Old Furnace Road. Each participating Spartanburg County high school girls softball team nominates one senior player for a $2000 scholarship. The Spartanburg Parks Scholarship Committee reviews the applications and awards the scholarship to the recipient that most excels in the classroom, on the field, and as a leader in our community.
